Taipei, Goal 24 (CNA) Taiwanese pc makers Asustek Computer Inc. and Acer Inc. stayed among the five leading global laptop providers in Feb despite a decrease in the wider industry, according to a local analysis review.
WitsView, a panel analysis department of TrendForce Corp., said in the review that Asustek had a 10.3 % globally business last month, ranking it fourth, followed by Acer with an 8.8 % business.
U.S.-based Hewlett-Packard Co. and China's Lenovo Group Ltd. stayed the top two laptop providers and the only two organizations among top five players recording positive annual growth in deliveries in Feb.
The two organizations had 19.6 % and 17.2 % industry shares, respectively, the review said.
Dell Inc., which also saw its deliveries fall every year, rated third with an 11.0 % business, the review said.
Overall laptop deliveries during Feb destroyed 12.3 million units, down 9.3 % from Jan, because of stock improvements, fewer work days and a tight work provide, said WitsView Assistant Research Manager Caroline Chen.
She prediction that laptop deliveries in Goal will grow by 17 % to 20 % from Feb on the back of an reducing work provide and rush purchases from suppliers.
